Male Rhinoplasty

What is Male Rhinoplasty

Both men and women can benefit from rhinoplasty surgery, also known as a “nose reshaping” or a “nose job.” This procedure enhances overall facial harmony by balancing the proportions of the nose. It may also be performed for reconstructive reasons to correct impaired breathing caused by nasal structural defects.

Male rhinoplasty can be used to address a variety of aesthetic concerns, including:

  • Nose width at the bridge or size of the nostrils.
  • Nose size in relation to facial balance.
  • Nose profile with visible depressions or bumps.
  • Bulbous, drooping, or upturned nasal tip.
  • Nasal asymmetry.
  • And more.

The Male Rhinoplasty Procedure

Male rhinoplasty is a highly personalized procedure. At Modern Surgical Arts, we will create a treatment plan tailored to your unique anatomy and surgical goals for natural-looking results.

There are several different rhinoplasty procedure approaches, depending on the desired outcome. These include:

Open Rhinoplasty

During this procedure, a small incision is created under the nasal tip between the nostrils. This allows the surgeon to completely access the nasal structures to sculpt the nose to the desired shape. This technique is most commonly used for patients who require extensive nasal reshaping. Scars are well hidden in the natural contours of the nose.

Closed Rhinoplasty

During this procedure, incisions are created inside the nostril. This technique is most commonly used for patients who require a minor nasal adjustment. There is no visible scarring following surgery.

Rhinoplasty Plan & Results

Male Rhinoplasty Results and Recovery

Male rhinoplasty is performed on an outpatient basis, so patients can return home to heal. The nose may be placed in a splint to support the new shape. Packing may also be placed inside of the nostrils, which are removed within the first week after surgery.

Bruising and swelling are to be expected, which should subside within 10-14 days. Most patients can return to work after 1-2 weeks, depending on the level of activity required at their job. Our team will provide you with aftercare instructions to ensure proper healing. Residual swelling may remain present for up to one year.
