Tummy tuck review. I am a 33 year old a man who struggled with my weight for many years of my life. I once weighed in at 245, over 30% body fat, and now weigh about 190, ~12% body fat. I had a lot of leftover skin from the time I was overweight, and it's all I could ever look at in the mirror. At some point, I got down to 180 pounds (around 6-7% body fat) and still, all I could see was the tire around my waist, and I thought I had more to lose! Even with clothes, I would constantly notice the muffin top underneath my shirts, spilling over the smallest waist size pants I had worn since middle school. I was uncomfortable with my body and ashamed to be shirtless in public. I was nervous about the procedure, going under anesthesia, and the recovery process. I was worried it wouldn't help me feel any better about myself. I was worried my belly button would look weird afterward. I was self-conscious about paying for my body to look different. Dr Dastoury, Catherine, Julie, Amy, Jules, Debbie, Julia, and Karen all took amazing care of me, enough so that I remember all of their names! You can tell they all enjoy working there, and that everyone appreciates each other, and have a high level of respect for the work they are doing. Everyone has the utmost confidence in Dr Dastoury. I interviewed a few offices before choosing these folks. What caught my attention was that I met the actual doctor first visit. Some of the other offices had me meet a salesperson first who, I think, told me what I wanted to hear in order to lure me in for round two when I would eventually meet a doctor. Dr Dastoury gave me straightforward, honest advice, and it really produced a great result. This office also does NOT use narcotics in the anesthesia process, which makes it a safer, less jarring experience. Afterward, the team was available through text messaging or phone calls at any time for my relentless questions, concerns, photos to make sure things were normal, nutritional advice, etc. The aftercare has been great (I just went in for my six-month post-op check-in, and I still feel cared for), and came with several lymphatic drainage massages. My recovery was quick and much easier than I had imagined. And... most importantly, I look amazing! I have never felt better about my body, ever. I went to the beach and for the first time in my memory, I enjoyed the beach and thought about anything but my tummy. Nothing hangs over my pants anymore. Nothing pokes out of my shirts. My belly button looks totally normal. I feel great about my body, and at a totally healthy weight, I don't feel like I need to lose more weight. Seriously, thank you to the team at Modern Surgical Arts. You folks were amazing, and Dr Dastoury is literally an artist.
