Restylane

What is Restylane?

Restylane consists of a family of hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers to address volume loss in various facial areas. Hyaluronic acid, a naturally produced sugar in the body that retains moisture in the skin, is key to combating volume loss and a natural skin glow.  Some Restylane fillers are created with XpresHAn Technology™, a crosslinked HA gel created for precise results while allowing patients to maintain a full range of expressions.  The Restylane family of fillers includes: Restylane: This HA filler is formulated to smooth nasolabial folds and marionette lines for a more youthful appearance. Results can last 6-18 months.  Restylane Eyelight: Helps to improve the appearance of undereye hallows for a refreshed appearance. This filler is formulated with NASHA® Technology, giving it a firm gel texture for targeted product placement. Results can last up to 18 months.  Restylane Contour: The only cheek filler created with XpresHAn Technology™ to restore definition in the cheek area. Results can last up to one year. Restylane Lyft: A safe and effective option for creating structure in the cheeks and smoothing nasolabial folds and marionette lines for a refreshed appearance. Results can last from 6-9 months. Restylane Defyne: Designed to soften deep laugh lines such as nasolabial folds and marionette lines and define the shape of the chin. Results can last from 6 months to one year.  Restylane Refyne: Designed to smooth and soften moderate smile lines such as nasolabial folds and marionette lines. This filler is created with XpresHAn Technology™ for natural-looking outcomes. Candidates for Restylane

Ideal Restylane patients are 21 years and older. Restylane fillers have been clinically proven for safety and efficacy for disease skin colors and types. You should not receive Restylane injections if you have a history of severe reactions, are allergic to lidocaine or gram-positive bacterial proteins, have a bleeding disorder, are pregnant, or are nursing. The Restylane Procedure

To begin your Restylane treatment, your injector will cleanse the skin and apply a topical numbing cream to ensure your comfort. The chosen Restylane filler will then be skillfully injected using a small needle. On average, each dermal filler treatment can take from 15-30 minutes to complete.

Restylane Results and Recovery

Following Restylane treatment, patients may experience mild swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness, or itching at the injection site. There is no downtime required, so you can return to most of your everyday activities as soon as you wish. However, physical activity should be avoided for the first 24-48 hours to minimize swelling and bruising. Our team will provide you with specific aftercare instructions to ensure optimal outcomes. Depending on the filler used, results can last anywhere from 6 to 18 months.
